tip-toe walking

Tip-toe walking when your child starts to walk is usually a benign condition. This is what we call idiopathic tip-toe walking which has the tendency to resolve by the age of 4. Our doctor will need to assess clinically the child in order rule out neurological pathologies that would require long-term physiotherapy and/or surgical treatment. In our clinic, idiopathic tip-toe  that fails to resolve by the age of 4 is treated with serial casting.
