Leg length discrepancies

These discrepancies are dealt with either an epiphysiodesis of the longer leg, at an appropriately calculated age before the end of skeletal maturation, or with lengthening of the short leg using a Taylor Spatial frame, which is an external fixation system which avoids the growth plate and is connected to a computer program that allows accurate lengthening of the short limb.
